Walker's opened in downtown San Diego
in 1935, but wasn't renamed Walker-Scott
until the 1950s.

The 8-story building was a combination
of Spanish and Art-Deco influences.

The store eventually took over a few floors
of the adjacent Owl Drug building next door.
